Since 1998 UNESCO world heritage site, enchanting place located between two points of the bay, 'Punta Tresino' and 'Punta Licosa'The medieval town was built around the fortress erected by the Abbot Costabile GentilcoreThe historical centre, still existing within 5 gates, is characterized by staircases, little alleys, arches, public and religious buildings of different ages.The coast was awarded in the last years for his environment.We suggest to visit the Castle and the Museum of Sacred Art, both 500 meters away from our apartments

Listed between the world national parks, preserving the biosphere, it distinguishes itself for the diversity of its territory. Unexplored sites, fascinating landscapes, maritime and historical areas such as: Pioppi, Palinuro, Punta Licosa and its legend, Velia, Paestum, Padula and its Monastery.Cilento is suitable for every kind of holidays.

THE SEASIDE - SANTA MARIA DI CASTELLABATE

Walking trail of around 20 minutes. Public or private beaches. It is possible to reach the beach also by public bus. Bus stop is a few steps from the apartments ( during July and August one every hour from 7 AM to 1 AM)Santa Maria is the village located along the coast, and has different areas with rocks, little bays or sandy beaches.It is located only 4 km away from our apartments.

SAN MARCO PORT

Is located 5 Km away ( 10 minutes by car)Public transportation to the port. Ferries to Capri island, Amalfi coast, Cilento Coast.

PUNTA LICOSA-OGLIASTRO

Licosa is a district of Castellabate, in the Province of Salerno. It is a promontory named 'Enipeo from Licofrone' or also 'Posidio of Strabone' with a forest of Mediterranean brush. The island of Licosa (160 meters long and 40 meters large) is the most characteristic natural site of this territory, with its shallow and clear water.It is located 10 Km away from Castellabate

BASILICA OF SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA-CASTELLABATE

The basilica of St. Mary de Gulia is located in the centre of Castellabate and dates back to the XII century. It was built on the top of a preexisting chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It takes the name Gulia from 'guglia' that means peak, top.Here on the top of the hill is located also the famous square, set of the popular italian movie 'Benvenuti al sud'

PAESTUM

Located in Campania region, province of Salerno, about 30 Km from the town (97 Km south of Naples)Paestum is located in the valley of Sele river, close to the coast in the bay of Salerno, northern part of Cilento National Park.Near the town of Capaccio and Paestum, linked with the National Railway.

VIA SILENTE

'Via Silente' is a round itinerary about 600 Km long, following he coast line and then the inland through the mountains of one of the largest National Parks of Italy, the National Park of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni.The itinerary counts 15 stages and one more optional stage on the top of Mount Cervati (1898 meters on sea level).'Via Silente' takes the name from 'silent', because of the silence you can experience along those sites, away from noice and human activities.
